We name our next Tribute Puppy HELO, in memory of Chief Warrant Officer John R. Priestner of the 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Chief Warrant Officer Priestner, along with Chief Warrant Officer Miles P. Henderson were was killed when their AH-64 Apache helicopter crashed in Balad, Iraq November 6, 2006. Chief Warrant Officer Priestner served alongside our paws4vets client, April Cook. CWO4 Priessner’s wife said, “He was everything a hero would be.” We are honored to remember Chief Warrant Officer John Priestner as the hero he was, and carry on his legacy in the service of HELO.
