My name is Matthew Currin. I grew up in Goldsboro, NC. I am an outdoorsman and avid fisherman. I came from a family of military men and since I was young wanted to serve. In January, 2006, I joined the Marine Corps. I was medically discharged in 2010 for severe hearing loss, back issues and 4th nerve palsy of the right eye. I was later diagnosed with PTS. I currently live in Princeton, NC with my wife and 2 children.
I am hopeful that CHAMP will be able to help me live a more normal life. I am not a fan of crowds, waiting time, or stressful environments, and unfortunately because of that, my kids and wife have had to suffer. With CHAMP by my side, I look forward to a happier and healthier future with my family.
CHAMPION is an Honor Puppy named in honor of 1SGT John R. “Champ” Champion Jr., U.S. Army.
