SHELBY

Shelby Bailey served our country for 4 years in the United States Army, 16 years in the United States Army Reserves and achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. A Veteran of the Korean War, Shelby had an enormous love for his country, his family and anyone in need. While in the Reserves, he worked at Mobay Chemical Corporation/Bayer for 37 years until he retired. Shelby loved spending time on his country property in Shiloh, West Virginia, reading his Bible spending time with his family. Shelby will forever remembered by his family, friends and community for his abundantly kind heart, soft spoken wisdom and selflessness. Shelby is the grandfather of paws4people Handler and WVDCR paws4prisons Mentor Amanda Rubenstein (CREIGHTON). He and his wife Belle often welcomed paws4people dogs into their home on visits and Shelby’s loved knowing that the dogs would be making life better for so many people. His love and kindness for others and passion to help others will carry on through a paws4people Honor Puppy.
