Belchik paws4people honor puppy
White Paw with Bright Blue Background

Tribute puppy BELCHIK has been named in memory of Corporal Christopher W. Belchik, a squad leader with Company E, 2ndBattalion, 2nd Marine Regiment from Camp LeJeune, NC during Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) Cpl. Belchik was killed in action when shrapnel from a roadside bomb ended his life on August 22, 2004. David Critchley II, a paws4vets client, was attached to Cpl. Belchik’s company while deployed aboard the USS Tortuga. David considered Belchik a great friend and mentor who gave his life trying to bring freedom to millions of people in a land far from his own. Belchik was only 30 years old and had only been married for a year to his beautiful wife, Mary.

BELCHIK is an Assistance Dog for paws4people Client, Julie Nogueira.
