Uriel is a University counselor, and a remarkable man who has made enormous strides in overcoming a turbulent upbringing. These childhood events led to his diagnosis of PTSD, Depression and Anxiety. Uriel often feels unsafe in his surroundings, has nightmares and flashbacks, and struggles to quiet his panicked thoughts. Uriel would love to get out in his community, regain his independence, and lead a healthy and happy life, and he believes a Service Dog by his side will be the key to making that happen.
VIRGINIA took one look at Uriel, and knew that was her person! She will help Uriel by anchoring to his anxiety, interrupting negative behaviors and providing deep pressure therapy when he is experiencing panic attacks. VIRGINIA will also pay attention in public places. We are excited to see the wonderful things this team will do together!
