Maddie Miller & JOAN

Maddie is currently a recreational therapist in Wake Forest, NC. Maddie had thyroid cancer as a teenager and deals with the side effects of that. She developed POTS that was triggered by cancer, and JOAN helps her by alerting her to her heart rate. Maddie also deals with depression and anxiety because of that trauma. JOAN is an amazing girl that aids Maddie in her social anxiety and enjoys going to work with her every day. JOAN provides aid for Maddie by retrieving items or picking them up so that she doesn’t have to, which helps with pain and dizziness.
