paws4people’sTM Mission
We have been helping humanity with dogs since 1999.

The Mission of the paws4peopleTM foundation is to enhance the lives of Active-duty Service Members, Veterans, Inmates (Federal & State), Children/Students, and Seniors by utilizing the “Special Powers” of canine companionship and service displayed by highly trained Assistance Dogs, (see Types of Dogs here) through specialized educational, private placement, therapeutic and visitation programs.
The paws4peopleTM foundation accomplishes its mission through the efforts of a network of over 230 (unpaid) volunteers and over 200 trained, certified and insured Assistance Dogs (and growing). These volunteers and dogs are trained and certified by, placed, then provide services through a sophisticated and synchronized array of integrated programs that provide educational, therapeutic, training, advocacy and visitation programs to a diverse myriad of people. These training, certification, placement, therapeutic, training and visitation programs are managed and implemented through the four major programs.
Why We Are Different
While there are many organizations that share our goal to enhance human lives with canine love, we have found that no other training program matches the selectiveness, variety and qualifications of the paws4peopleTM programs. Most organizations focus on either hospitals, nursing homes, private placements or schools. Our mission’s multiple aspects are unique in providing diverse groups of citizens with a menu of programs from which they can select the one that best meets their needs.
Company Overview:
