1 JULY 2015 – Our next tribute puppy will be named TATLER in honor of Philip “Wayne” Tatler (USMC ret.) He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the South Pacific with the Marines. After the war, he attended the University of Colorado’s School of Architecture. He practiced in New Jersey until 1976. Wayne and his wife Sally owned and operated an art gallery and picture framing facility on Hilton Head Island, S.C. from 1976 until 1991. He resumed his architectural career with the FWA Group until moving to North Carolina in 1997. Sadly, Wayne died on December 16, 2013. He was a huge supporter of his daughter, Shelly Phillips and her husband Miami, who have volunteered with paws4people since 2009. His wife, Sally, lives in NC and both she and Shelly are very honored to have TATLER named after such a great man.
