CONNELL

Honor Puppy

Connell paws4people honor puppy
White Paw with Bright Blue Background

We are excited to introduce CONNELL! He is a tribute dog named in memory of Jon McConnell, US Army Veteran and First Responder. Jon was an income tax investigator for the FBI in the 1960’s and later joined the Army and served in Vietnam. He specialized in creating maps for the ground troops. Jon was then placed on inactive reserve and was occasionally called back to read and create maps for the Army while still working with the FBI. He was on the Fire Department for the Town of Alexis in Gaston Co, NC and Statesville Road Volunteer Fire Department in Mecklenburg Co, NC. He was also with Stanley Rescue in Gaston County as an EMT. Jon is the father of paws4people Peer Mentor, Nathan McConnell and his brothers: Jon, Jamie and Drew. Sadly, he passed away at the age of 72 from cancer.

CONNELL will carry on Jon’s memory through the many paws4people puppies he will sire that will become Assistance Dogs and will transform many lives!
