Miller is a student at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is originally from Henderson, North Carolina. Miller has been diagnosed with PTS as a result of an assault and is always on high alert. Loud noises and people approaching her from behind can cause her to panic. Miller believes that an Assistance Dog will help mitigate her symptoms and ease her anxiety.
In July 2017 Miller bumped with TOBY! TOBY will help Miller by anchoring to her when she is anxious, interrupting negative behaviors and alerting her when people approach her from behind to ease her anxiety when she is in public.
