Jessica is a young woman who is diagnosed with PTSD. The effects of her past traumas have caused her to find difficulty navigating everyday life. Jessica avoids leaving the house by herself, has trouble processing difficult emotions, and often feels overwhelmed, leading to episodes of heightened panic. Jessica would like to get back to the person she once was and be able to tackle problems head-on. She knows that a Service Dog will not be a miracle fix, but believes it will give her the confidence she lacks to go out into the world and take charge of her life!
VIVA and Jessica matched in 2026, and together, there’s nothing this team cannot do! VIVA will anchor Jessica’s anxiety and pay attention, making daily tasks more manageable. VIVA will also interrupt negative behaviors and will provide deep pressure therapy while Jessica processes the day’s events. We are excited to watch this team take on the world!
