Debbie Andrews & BOURKE

My name is Debbie and I have been blessed to have BOURKE come into my life. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1990 following an episode of optic neuritis. My neurologist said “this is manageable” but failed to tell me my abilities will diminish as I get older. I have daily difficulties with balance, as well as strength. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would have the opportunity to have a mobility assistant other than a cane or a walker. And then BOURKE came into my life. He has been such an inspiration for me to want to get out of bed in the mornings and make the best of what the day has to offer. Whether I am able to walk without leaning into the wall or not, BOURKE is always at my side to keep me steady. My bond with this “gift from God” has given me the confidence I lacked in knowing I am still capable of having a useful and purposeful life.
