Captain John Greene has been a member of the Wilmington Fire Department for 30 years. He currently works as a Training Captain, teaching and preparing new recruits for the ins and outs of the job. He has seen firsthand the amazing benefits that having a Dog in the Department as on the mental health of the Firefighters.
CLYDE will work daily with Captain Greene, both with the recruits in class, and out and about in the community to foster healthy relationships between Emergency Services Personnel and citizens. They will provide outreach, help firefighters work through the mental health stressors from traumatic calls, and improve morale within the department!
