Amy is a charismatic and bright young lady who is diagnosed with Spina Bifida, Scoliosis, Myelomeningocele, ADHD, and anxiety. These diagnoses cause Amy to have no feeling from the waist down. While Amy uses a wheelchair and braces to assist her in getting around, she knows that nothing can hold her back in life! A service dog will not only help Amy with everyday tasks that most of us take for granted, but also be a loving companion and best friend to ease her anxiety. With the help of a Service Dog, Amy is confident that she and her family will have an PAWSATIVELY AMAZING future!
In 2025, Amy bumped with DOTTIE, and the pair has been inseparable since! DOTTIE will help Amy by bracing to assist with transitions, pushing handicapped buttons, and retrieving items out of reach. DOTTIE will also be there to assist Amy when her anxiety increases, and will provide deep pressure therapy to lower cortisol levels. Together, there is nothing this team can’t do!
