Crystal is a retired US Marine, who spent over seven years on Active Duty. After multiple deployments, combined with childhood trauma, Crystal was diagnosed with PTSD. She struggles with day to day life, and often has difficulty interacting with the world around her. She struggles to get restful sleep and is hypervigilant when out in public. Due to injuries sustained while Active Duty, she also experiences chronic pain and abnormal gait, leading to difficulty walking and getting around at times. Crystal is hopeful that a Service Dog will open her world up, and give her back the independence she has been missing!
Crystal started working with CIRRUS in Fall 2025! CIRRUS will help Crystal by paying attention in loud and crowded places, allowing Crystal to focus on the task at hand. He will also interrupt negative behaviors and will brace to help Crystal when she has difficulty walking and changing elevations. These two are a great team, and we know that with CIRRUS by her side, there is nothing that Crystal can’t do!
