Alexa is a graduate of UNCW who is diagnosed with POTS, which can cause a rapid heart rate and lead her to pass out. Alexa’s first service dog, WALLIS, was instrumental in Alexa becoming an independent adult, and leading a fulfilling and successful career in Education. Alexa would like to regain the independence that WALLIS gave her, allowing her to walk through life ready to take on anything that comes her way!
EASTWOOD chose Alexa in January 2025!. He will help Alexa by bracing when she becomes unsteady, retrieving items for her, and by alerting others when she becomes unconscious. Together, there’s nothing this team can’t handle!
