Tanner graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where she completed the 4 semester Assistance Dog Training Program. She is diagnosed with ADHD and PTSD associated with trauma from motor vehicle accidents, leading to anxiety/ depression, which causes her to live on high alert. After witnessing the life-changing work the dogs in the program were doing with their clients, Tanner took charge of her life and bumped with BRODIE. He gave Tanner her life back and became a fearless companion!
MURPHY is Tanner’s successor dog! MURPHY will assist Tanner by anchoring to her for grounding in public spaces and by alerting while driving/riding in a car, for behavior and nightmare interruption, and with people approaching from behind to reduce startle reflex. MURPHY will help Tanner continue living a bright and fulfilling life, and we look forward to seeing the tremendous work these two will do together.
