On 23 April 2007, enemy forces attacked a 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment Patrol Base in As Sadah, Iraq. The attack resulted in the death of nine Troopers and the wounding of at least twenty more. We will never forget these American Paratroopers of the airborne reconnaissance team who gave their lives for their country:
