Firefighter Chase Grantham is employed with the Fayetteville Fire Department, who are often called out to high-stress and traumatic calls. After learning about the work Crisis Response Dogs were doing in Wilmington, he knew he wanted to be a handler for his department.
Together, CLOVER and Chase will work daily to improve the mental well-being of first responders and residents within their department and city. CLOVER will provide crucial support to first responders, helping them decompress after difficult calls and lowering anxiety levels. She will help mitigate stress, both at the station and on scene of emergencies, and overall boost morale at the Department.
