SSgt Tiffany Johnson, USAF (ret.)

SSgt Tiffany Johnson-Pittman is a veteran of the US Air Force, having served a total of 11 years. During her active duty service she deployed twice to Iraq. After separating from active duty she served two years in the Air Force Reserves. Tiffany lives outside of Philadelphia with her husband and daughter. She currently attends Chestnut Hill College where she is working to obtain a degree in Business. Transitioning from the military was rather difficult as Tiffany began to deal with issues that weren't previously addressed in trying to keep her "service before self". Having an Assistance Dog post military service is comparable to having a battle buddy while in the service.

Tiffany deals with invisible scars such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, and the after effects of MST have proven to be extremely overwhelming on almost a daily basis. Having VICKERY to alert to her anxiety and help keep her calm could potentially be life saving.

In March 2016, Tiffany met VICKERY. VICKERY is a sweet little chocolate lab that has changedTiffany’s life for the better. She assists Tiffany with her daily tasks and alerts her when her anxiety is high. She also reminds Tiffany to take her meds and interrupt her nightmares. VICKERY has brought a sense of normalcy to Tiffany’s life.

VICKERY is a Tribute Puppy named in honor of Sgt Cory Vickery, USMC.
