Why We Do What We Do – (and Where Your Money Goes!)
Our programs include:
paws4vetsTM Assistance Dog Placement Program where Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members or their dependents with physical, neurological, psychiatric or emotional disabilities can receive Psychiatric Service Dogs, Mobility Service Dogs and Rehabilitative Assistance Dogs, free of charge.
paws4peopleTM Private Placement Program provides Assistance Dogs to physically or mentally challenged adolescents under 14, spouseless seniors, and professionals to use in their environments.
paws4prisonsTM Program teaches federal inmates to train various types of Assistance Dogs and then manages and supervises the training of these Assistance Dogs for and in support of the mission of the paws4peopleTMfoundation. This program has proven to be a very tangible rehabilitative opportunity for these females. Many of these trainers come out of the prison environment and join us to help continue the Dogs training!
